Ardsley Village - Village Justice Court

About Ardsley
A village of just over 4,000 people, Ardsley is within the town of Greenburgh in Westchester County. With direct commuter train service to New York City, Ardsley resident's enjoy small town quality of life with big city access.

Founded after the Revolutionary War when the Loyalist land owners were forced to vacate the premises, the town was initally called Ashford. After realizing there was already an Ashford Post Office in New York State, the name was changed to Ardsley. The name was chosen to honor the birthplace in Ardsley, England of one of the primary resident's ancestors

The village flourished after getting a train station built on the Putnam Railway line, a division of the New York Central Railroad. A devestating fire in 1914 destroyed the village center and reconstruction following the fire has given the village most of its current facade.

With first class facilities and a small village feel, Ardsley combines the best of both worlds.
