About Brownsburg
A Kentucky native named James B. Brown settled Brownsburg, Indiana. At the time only trappers and hunters ventured into the dense and unbroken wilderness that was then called “White Salt” and sat along the While Lick Creek.
One of Brownsburg’s most notable residents is Keith Scott a multi award-winning drummer who opened for many Nashville Stars. Although he public ally retired in 2001 he is still known to play local venues and to teach developmentally challenged young adults with dyslexia, ADHD and dyspraxia.
Brownsburg’s five parks cover over 165 acres and offer more than 1,000 programs. Programs such as Kindermusik, a music program for toddlers, and summer camps for the kids make it a very kid friendly area.
