About Campbell Hall
Orange County lies just to the north of New York City and is at the outer fringe of the Metropolitan area. Named for the Dutch Royal Family, William III of Oranje was the inspiration at the time of naming. One of the original counties of New York, established in 1683, Orange County was the residence of George Washington for a time.

Campbell Hall is the principal part of the town of Hamptonburgh, named by settler John Bull in 1703. The town was established in 1830 from parts of the town of Goshen, county seat of Orange County. Campbell Hall is the admnistrative center of the area and the site of the North Metro Train station which links commuters with New York City.
