About Concord
Concord is the 202nd largest city in the United States and was formerly known by the names of Drunken Indian and Todos Santos and was founded in 1869 as Todos Santos. Located 31 miles or 50 kilometers east of San Francisco, the city is a major regional suburban hub of the East Bay. The city boasts almost a population of 150,000 residents as of the 2000 census. The economy of Concord is slightly picking up although the town is basically a commuter town or bedroom community in which the vast majority of residents live in the city but work elsewhere.
