Endicott Incorporated Village - Village Court- Court Offices

About Endicott
A village just west of Binghamton, Endicott was named for the major employer at the time. The Endicott Johnson Corporation, a shoe manufacturing company owned by Henry B. Endicott, was the primary employer in Binghamton and an innovative developer of the concept of "welfare capitalism".

The planned community of Endicott sits alonside the town of Johnson, named for George F. Johnson, who previously owned the shoe company before selling to Endicott. The towns became known as the "Square Deal" towns for the beneficial employment contracts the workers had and the company's policy of giving back to the workers. Each town has an arch inscribed with the words "Home of the Square Deal" at the entrance to the town.

Endicott is also the birthplace of IBM, as International Business Machines first incorporated here after an amalgmation of three early pioneers in the field of computing. Bundy Time Recording was one of the companies and the Bundy House still stands on North Street.
