About Fowler
Founded in 1872 by Moses Fowler and his wife Fowler, Indiana has grown substantially from the 583 lots it began with. Moses Fowler was a forward thinker and knew that the success of Fowler depended on two things, first being the draining of the swampland so that agriculture could be brought to the area and second the construction of the railroad. Fowler obviously took his advice as they were ranked in the top three to six counties in Indiana in corn production.
One of the only two wind power plants in Indiana is the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm. Consisting of 222 wind turbines, 40 Clipper turbines, and 133 G.E. wind turbines the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm is visible from US-52, which is the main highway through the county.
