About Geneva
Geneva is a city in and the county seat of Geneva County, Alabama. Geneva is settled where the Choctawhatchee River and Pea River meet and it was a busy trading center for steam-powered riverboats in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Although a predominantly caucasian community, Geneva is home to many nationalities & cultures. They also are home to very youthful community as well with a large percentage of the town having children in there family.

In April they hold the River Festival. It typically brings in hundreds of people from all over the country. It is held where the two rivers meet and it has events such as a five-mile road race, greasy pole climb, canoe race, and tug-of-war. Also it has a country music concert and in the past as hosted such artists as Ronnie Milsap, Randy Travis, George Jones, and Aaron Tippin.
