Town Of North Hudson - Town Court

About North Hudson
Not surprisingly, the town of North Hudson is located at the north end of the Hudson River. Within the natural beauty of Adirondack Park, the early industries that supported the town were based on the abundant forest products. Formed from the town of Moriah in 1848, early settlers used hemlock bark from the surrounding forests in the process of tanning hides.

The main employer these days is tourism, owing to the beauty of the town's rustic surroundings. Adirondack Park is the largest National Historic Monument in the USA and the largest state park in the contiguous states. Nearby Underwood and Elk lakes attract visitors in search of prime locations for enjoying the natural beauty of the park.
