About Sellersburg
Sellersburg, Indiana was named after Moses Sellers, the man who laid out the town in the early 19th century. It was in 1939 that a large cabinet building company by the name of Haas Cabinets had its base in Sellersburg. Carlos Haas, or the Colonel, started building cabinets as a hobby and ended up owning one of the longest running family owned cabinet businesses.
Fuzzy Zoeller, a local resident and PGA golfer, opened the Covered Bridge Golf Club. The golf clubs hosts many pro and celebrity golf tournaments including the Wolf Challenge. In the 2006 Wolf Challenge celebrities like Bill Murray and Kevin Costner played the tournament.
