About Yorkville
A village in Oneida County, Yorkville was originally populated by workers at nearby New York Mills. A suburb of Utica, the village's three mills created a village of mill workers that also boasted the highest tavern per population ratio in New York state.

Yorkville is in the southeast part of Whitestown, adjacent to Utica. Whitestown is the first settlement made in Oneida County and several other towns and villages were created from it territory over the years.

Incorporated in 1902, Yorkville today has a population of nearly 3,000 people.
